Hi everyone !

What happen to Tony Thunder Smith ???

Last time in Paris (2003), there was no drums, and for his next tour (april
2005), it seems that there are no drums again !!! Is Lou bored with drums ?
Or did he had a fight with Tony (which I like a lot)...?

So if someone could explain what's the problem with Lou & drums those last
two years, I would appreciate !

Thanks
Emma

No idea actually. But when TTS was playing on the last tour he had this
enormous perspex screen all round him. Seems that Lou doesn't like having
the drums behind him. Maybe it's to do with trying to hear what's going on
(drums are too loud on the stage). Totally bizarre though.

As it happens, the gigs without the drums were probably better than the
ones with them (which I'm surprised at saying, but it definitely seemed
that way to me).

I saw Lou play with Tony in 2000 - man Tony is a truly, truly AMAZING
drummer, one of the most precise and hardest hitting around - listen to
the fill in 'running wild' on ecstast. Lou is an idiot for dropping him.

What do you mean dropping him? He's playing the drums on this current tour,
ain't he!? As for being an idiot, I'm glad that Lou Reed has the guts to try
something different from time to time!
